In Sum

What my personal ad would say:

Mom with a full-time job,
who—due to weather and illness
(both her own and her children's)
and perhaps some unknown karmic infraction—
seeks: Some calm amid the chaos;
No more crying (hers/her children's);
And end to identity ping pong;
Some way to thank her bosses
(both the kid and adult variety)
for being so patient with her;
A reprieve from all the pressure
of being everywhere and yet nowhere.

That just about sums it up.

That's quite the personal ad. I hope your alter ego responds. "Identity ping pong" is a great term!

kid bosses...they do think so, don't they? and they may be right, but don't tell them

Right now, I think my alter ego would respond, "Suck it up, whiner!"

As my nearly-4-year-old BIG likes to say these days, "I can only be the boss of me." Not sure if she means she shouldn't be bossing anyone else around, or, more likely, that nobody else should tell her what to do...

Thanks! The ground hog says spring's right around the corner (yeah, right!). So maybe the snow will be gone by June!

Thank you--on so many levels!
But this time for always being
a few steps ahead of me
to scout out the next adventure.

"identity ping pong" - love that line!

Here's hoping you get that calm reprieve you seek!
